James Elijah Donkoh

Mr. James Elijah Donkoh is a Chartered Banker, Professional Investment Manager and Chief Executive Officer of CAL Asset Management Company Ltd, which is a Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of CalBank PLC. Before his appointment as the CEO of the Subsidiary in May 2017, Mr. Donkoh was the Senior Investment Manager for CAL Asset Management for almost ten (10) years. As the CEO of the Company, Mr. Donkoh has successfully spearheaded the transformation agenda of the business which has made the Company the 6th largest Fund Management Company out of 82 licensed Fund Management Companies in Ghana at the moment.

Mr. Donkoh joined the then CAL Asset Management Unit of CalBank in 2001 from CAL Brokers Limited (CBL), another Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of CalBank where he was the Stockbroker of the Firm. As the Authorized Dealing Officer of CBL, Mr. Donkoh was responsible for trading on the floor of the Ghana Stock Exchange, trade settlement and retail marketing. Prior to joining CBL in August 1994, Mr. Donkoh worked with NTHC Limited, a Firm of Stockbrokers and Investment Advisors as Investment Officer from February 1991, where he gained significant experience in both Money and Capital market operations.

Mr. Donkoh holds a Masters Degree (MBA) in Finance from the University of Leicester (U.K). He is a qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers- Ghana (ACIB), a Certificate in International Banking management from the Galilee College in Israel and holder of Securities Industry Certificate from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ghana.
