Meet Our Board Of Directors

MR. CARL SELASI ASEM – NON-INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Mr. Carl Selasi Asem is the Managing Director of CalBank Plc, bringing in over 22years of leadership experience in the banking and financial services industry through marketing, sales, relationship management, customer service and business development.

Prior to joining the Bank in September 2022, he worked in various business development and management positions in Ecobank, Ghana and subsequently as Managing Director for Ecobank, Gambia. He also worked in other managerial positions in organizations such as Domestic Bank, Engen Ghana Limited, Premium African Textiles as well as the Ghana Textile Printing Company.

Mr. Asem holds an Executive MBA (Finance option) from the University of Ghana, an ACCA Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management and has completed executive leadership programs at Harvard Kennedy School and Columbia Business School respectively. He is passionate about fostering a culture of excellence, promoting financial inclusion, and delivering sustainable value for stakeholders.

DR. CYNTHIA AYORKOR SALLAH – INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dr. Cynthia Ayorkor Sallah is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in audit, financial management, and regulatory oversight across Ghana and the United Kingdom. She currently serves as Deputy Director-General, Technical & Field Operations at the Internal Audit Agency, providing strategic leadership and oversight of internal audit practices.

She previously spent over a decade at KPMG Ghana, where she rose to Senior Manager and Head of Practice Management, with responsibility for firm-wide systems, budgeting, and performance management, following earlier roles in audit and IT security. She holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.

MRS. MADELINE NETTEY - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 

Madeline Nettey is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cal Asset Management Company Ltd. She is an accomplished investment banker with over 19 years of extensive experience in funds management and capital market operations.

She provides strategic leadership for the company’s growth and operations, with responsibility for investment management, business development, client engagement, the delivery of innovative investment solutions to clients and governance.

She has previously served as the CEO of Republic Investments (Ghana) Ltd, where she provided leadership for sustainable business growth, diversified operations (covering Pensions, Mutual Funds, Wealth Management, Corporate Finance & Advisory), as well as overseeing the brokerage services subsidiary, and regulatory compliance.

Madeline holds an MPhil in Finance from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK. and a BSc. Mathematics degree from KNUST, Ghana. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB). 

Madeline is a Certified Pensions Specialist (CPS) & a Fellow, Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM). She also holds a Certificate in Directorship (CertIoD) from the Institute of Directors (IoD-UK).
