- Joseph Ofori Teiko
Mr. Ofori – Teiko is the Chairman of CAL Asset Management Company Limited (CAMCOL). Prior to his appointment as the Chairman of the Board, he served as the Chairman of the Investment and Risk Sub-Committee of the CAMCOL Board. He is a seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience in the Ghanaian banking sector.
Mr. Ofori – Teiko has extensive experience in Credit Management; Risk and Compliance; and Treasury Management, due to the various roles he played during his active working life in the banking sector. He retired as the General Manager of CalBank PLC in February 2018 and was responsible for supervising the activities of Treasury, Credits, Corporate and Institutional Banking, Retail and Business Banking, Corporate Finance, and Private Banking Departments of the Bank.
Prior to his appointment as the General Manager, he served as the Head of Treasury and Risk Departments of CalBank PLC. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of CalBank Nominees Limited. Mr. Ofori – Teiko has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture, Master’s degree in Banking and Finance, and a Diploma in SME Financing.
- Mohammed Yakubu
Mr. Mohammed Yakubu is the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of Cal Brokers Limited and past CEO of CAL Asset Management Company Ltd.
Prior to joining CalBank Group, Mr. Yakubu headed the Research and Brokerage Department of Strategic African Securities (SAS) and played a leading role in the privatization of a number of corporate bodies including Ghana Commercial Bank (now GCB Bank PLC) He was also the Chief Dealer at the National Trust Holding Company (now NTHC Limited) from 1990 to 1993 and a Pioneering Stockbroker (Authorized Dealing Officer-ADO) of the Ghana Stock Exchange.
In 2009, Mohammed was appointed by the Government to serve on the Board of Ghana Reinsurance Organization till 2016. He also served on the Boards of Donewell Insurance Limited and CAL Brokers Limited. Mohammed obtained his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Ghana.
- Charles Ofori-Acquah
Mr. Charles Ofori-Acquah was the Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana. He is an experienced Chartered Banker with over 25 years of demonstrable track record in the banking industry.
He was the Executive Director, Business Development of HFC Bank (now Republic Bank) with responsibilities for crafting the bank’s policy and strategy for retail banking, as well as implementing Board decisions within the bank’s approved policy limits for risks. He had oversight responsibility for Treasury, International Trade Services and Marketing Departments. He also served as Executive Director for Corporate Banking.
He has been a Council Member, Executive Committee Member and a Member of the Ethics Committee of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana since 2011. He was also a Member of the Board of Directors of Republic Bank from 2012 to 2015 as well as a Board Member of UG-Republic Bank Ghana Limited between 2012 and 2015.
Mr. Ofori-Acquah is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Old Mutual Pension Trust and a council member of the National Banking College, Ghana. Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon and an Executive Masters in Governance and Leadership from the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA).
He is an Associate of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (formerly Chartered Institute of Bankers, England) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana.
- Joejo Wodow-Hammond
Mr. Joejo Wodow-Hammond is the Group Head, Operations at CalBank PLC and the immediate past Group Head, Consumer & Retail Banking. He is a seasoned Banker with over 20 years of experience in the banking industry and has been a key contributor to CalBank PLC’s growth over the years.
As the Group Head, Operations, Mr. Wodow-Hammond has oversight of the Banking Operations, Customer Experience, Credit and Marketing Departments of CalBank PLC.
In his previous role, Mr. Wodow-Hammond oversaw the development, management, and retention of customer relationships across the entire branch network of the Bank with a portfolio value of more than USD250 million. He also drove the Bank’s Digital and Financial Inclusion strategy which introduced alternative digital delivery channels such as USSD, the CalBank App and Agent Banking channels.
Prior to becoming Group Head, Consumer & Retail Banking in 2018, Mr. Wodow-Hammond was Head of Credit of CalBank from 2012 and during that period he spearheaded all the Bank’s credit delivery processes and activities.
Mr. Wodow-Hammond is a member of CalBank PLC’s Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALMC) and contributes to the management of the Bank’s Assets & Liabilities at the highest level. Also, he is a member of the Bank’s Credit and Loan Review Committees where he contributes to the review of the Bank’s credit portfolio to ensure compliance with BOG guidelines and the Bank’s established credit risk management policies.
He also worked with Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) where he managed portfolios of both corporate and retail customers with values in excess of USD 25million.
Joejo holds an MSc. Economics (Finance & Credit) from the Donetsk State University, Donetsk, Ukraine.
- Ken Tshribi
Mr. Ken Tshribi is an astute Lawyer with almost forty (40) years' experience in various areas of Law and Banking. He has served in various capacities in large corporate firms both locally and internationally as well as in academia. His rich experience in business development, compliance, mergers, and business combinations has been brought to bear in his span of practice notable amongst them being the merger of Anglogold Limited and Ashanti Goldfields
He has advised on joint ventures, equity schemes, banking transactions, project finance, mineral and mining law issues, financial restructurings, stock exchange issues, employment matters, dispute resolution including participating in two international arbitrations held under the auspices of the ICC. He also served as Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Universal Merchant Bank (2015-2019), Ashanti Goldfields- Kilo DR Congo (2004-2009) and Ashanti Goldfields Sporting Club (2000-2004).
Ken is the current Managing Counsel of Laryea, Laryea & Company (Lawyers & Notaries) after retiring from AngloGold Ashanti South Africa Limited-AGA (Corporate Office-Johannesburg, South Africa).
Mr. Tshribi holds LLB (Hons) from the University of Ghana (1982), BL from the Ghana School of Law (1984), a graduate of BPP Law School-London, UK and was admitted to the Law Society of England and Wales as Solicitor in 2004.
- James Elijah Donkoh
Mr. James Elijah Donkoh is the Chief Executive Officer of CAL Asset Management Company Limited. Before his appointment as the CEO in May 2017, Mr. Donkoh was the Senior Investment Manager for CAL Asset Management for almost ten (10) years. Elijah joined the then CAL Asset Management Unit of CalBank from CAL Brokers Limited (CBL).
As the Authorized Dealing Officer of CBL, Elijah was responsible for trading on the floor of the Ghana Stock Exchange, trade settlement and retail marketing. Prior to joining CBL, Elijah worked with NTHC Limited, a firm of Stockbrokers and Investment Advisors as Investment Officer, where he gained significant experience in both money and capital market operations. Elijah holds MBA Finance Degree from the University of Leicester (U.K).
He is a qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers- Ghana (ACIB) and holder of Securities Industry Certificate from the Ghana Stock Exchange.
