Ernest Attiso

Ernest leads the Portfolio Management team with responsibility for investment strategy formulation and execution, research, and performance reporting for over four-hundred mandates. He interacts routinely with the company’s Executive and Investment Committees, team of portfolio managers, analysts, as well as clients, policymakers, and industry players to devise the most favourable investment solutions for the various portfolios.

His most recent experiences include roles in portfolio management and research at CAL Asset Management as well as managing Corporate and Pension Funds at First Atlantic Asset Management Limited. Prior to that, he oversaw the Dealing and Portfolio Support desk at Databank Asset Management Services Limited where he sourced deals and executed average monthly transactions of GHS15m (GHS79m in present terms) for the various business units and was part of a Team that created and managed a Fixed Term investment product worth GHS38.5m by the time of his exit.

Ernest holds an MBA (Finance) from Rome Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Banking & Finance) with First Class honors from the University of Ghana Business School. He obtained a Certificate in Alternative Investments from the Harvard Business School and has achieved the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment Level III Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management. He was awarded the Securities Industry Certificate from the Ghana Stock Exchange in 2011. 

Ernest has a 67% winning record in singles Tennis matches and enjoys playing word games.
